METROLINX, the railway infrastructure owner, has informed VIA Rail of upcoming work on the tracks on which we operate as part of their infrastructure maintenance program. This program will have an impact on certain VIA Rail trains travelling on April 11th and 12th.
To avoid cancelling our services, VIA Rail has been given permission to operate on a detour route, which consequently is expected to increase our usual travel time between the stations of Toronto and Oshawa. Furthermore, no service will be offered to or from the Guildwood station on Saturday and Sunday.
Our schedules have been adjusted to account for the modifications caused by this detour, but delays may occur above and beyond this modified schedule. Please carefully consult the updated schedules listed below.
