METROLINX, the railway infrastructure owner, has informed VIA Rail of upcoming work on the tracks on which we operate as part of their infrastructure maintenance program, which will take place on Saturday, April 6th and Sunday, April 7th, 2024.
To avoid cancelling our services, VIA Rail has been given permission to operate on a detour route, which consequently is expected to increase our usual travel time between the stations of Toronto and Oshawa. Furthermore, no service will be offered to or from the Guildwood station.
Our schedules have been adjusted to account for the modifications caused by this detour. Please carefully consult the updated schedules listed below. If you have a connection that will no longer be possible, or if you have a reservation to/from Guildwood, we will reach out to you by email or phone to provide options.
